In The Peacemaker, Dr. Julia Kelly (played by Nicole Kidman) is a nuclear specialist who must investigate the mysterious crash of a train carrying atomic warheads in the former Soviet Union. With the help of Special Forces Colonel Thomas Devoe (played by George Clooney), she soon discovers that the accident was not an accident at all, but part of a larger plot to steal the weapons. The two are then assigned to recover the missing bombs before they can be detonated by the terrorists who stole them.
