The Overnight is a horror thriller movie directed by Dave Franco. The movie follows a young couple, Alex and Emily, who have just moved to Los Angeles with their son. They try to make new friends and meet a mysterious couple, Kurt and Charlotte, who invite them over for dinner. After the awkward and unsettling encounter, Alex and Emily decide to leave but discover that their car has been towed. They are forced to stay in a nearby hotel, where strange things start to happen. They become trapped in a time loop, continually reliving the same night and waking up in the same room each day.
As they try to break out of the time loop, they realize that they are being targeted by a demon that feeds on their fears and desires. In an attempt to save themselves, they have to fight their way through the night, using their wits and courage to escape the demon's grasp.
