Crime,Drama  Serbia,Italy,France

The Organizer (1963) is directed by Italian filmmaker Mario Monicelli and is set in the early 1900s in the city of Turin, Italy. The film follows the story of Professor Sinigaglia, a wanderer who comes to Turin and soon becomes a teacher in a local school. Sinigaglia is disillusioned with the academic world and wants to do something worthwhile with his life. He becomes interested in the plight of the workers in the local textile mill, who are being treated unfairly and forced to work in terrible conditions.

Sinigaglia befriends one of the workers, a young woman named Yolanda (Annie Girardot), and together they organize the workers to stand up against the oppressive factory owners. Sinigaglia also enlists the help of a local anarchist, played by Renato Salvatori, who helps to organize a strike.

The film portrays the struggle of the workers to form a union and fight for their rights, against the intense opposition of the factory owners and the police. The workers are threatened, beaten and arrested, but they refuse to back down.

The Organizer is a powerful film that explores themes of social justice, worker's rights, and the struggle of the oppressed against the powerful. Marcello Mastroianni delivers a memorable performance as the unconventional hero who risks everything to help the workers, and the film is notable for its realistic and gritty portrayal of working-class life in Italy. It is widely considered to be one of the great Italian films of the 20th century.
