The Only One follows the story of a young woman named Emily who, after years of being single and traveling the world, decides to visit her ex-boyfriend, Olivier, on his vineyard in the South of France. Emily and Olivier had a passionate relationship years ago but broke up due to their differing personalities and career goals.
Upon her arrival, Emily discovers that Olivier has a new girlfriend, a beautiful French artist named Aimee. Despite initially feeling jealous and uncomfortable, Emily decides to stay on the vineyard for a few weeks to help out with the grape harvest and spend time with Olivier and Aimee.
As she spends more time with the couple, Emily begins to learn more about herself and what she truly wants in life. She realizes that while she loves traveling and exploring new places, she also craves stability and a committed relationship. However, she is torn between her feelings for Olivier and the fact that he is now in a happy relationship with Aimee.
