In the movie The Old Master, Master Yu, a skilled and respected Kung Fu expert from China, is invited to participate in a martial arts competition in Los Angeles. The tournament attracts many competitors from across the world, all vying for the grand prize.
Master Yu mesmerizes the audience with his impressive and unique fighting style, defeating all his opponents with ease. However, his victories attract the ire of a local mob boss, who had placed a large bet on a rival fighter. Furious at his loss, the mob boss puts a hit out on Master Yu.
Undeterred by the threat, Master Yu continues to showcase his skills in subsequent rounds of the competition. Along the way, he befriends a young novice fighter, who quickly becomes a staunch supporter and ally.
As tensions escalate, Master Yu finds himself the target of several dangerous attacks by the mob boss's henchmen. With the help of his new friend and his own battle prowess, Master Yu faces down the mob and emerges victorious.
