Ninja Showdown: The Protector's Revenge

Adventure,Action,Thriller  United States of America

The Octagon is a 1980 martial arts action film directed by Eric Karson and starring Chuck Norris as Scott James. The movie starts with Scott reminiscing about his childhood training at a martial arts school in Japan. He speaks to a group of students, telling them about the octagon – where fighters are trained to fight hand-to-hand combat.

In the present, Scott lives a quiet life as a drifter. He is recruited by a friend, A.J., who works for an intelligence agency, to help protect wealthy heiress, Justine Blake (Karen Carlson). Justine is being targeted by a mysterious group of ninjas who want to kidnap her for ransom.

Scott initially refuses the request, but after seeing Justine being followed by the ninjas, he decides to help A.J., and takes the job of her bodyguard.

As he investigates the ninja clan, he finds that his arch-nemesis, McCarn (Lee Van Cleef), is the mastermind behind the kidnapping plot. McCarn is a former friend and mentor of Scott’s, who had turned his back on him and became a mercenary for hire.

Scott must use his martial arts skills to protect Justine and stop the ninjas from kidnapping her. Along the way, he reunites with his old friend, Tadashi, who helps him navigate the dangerous world of ninja assassins.

In a climactic showdown, Scott faces off against McCarn and the entire ninja clan in the octagon. The fight scenes are intense, with Chuck Norris showcasing his martial arts skills and agility. In the end, Scott emerges victorious and saves Justine from the ninjas.

The Octagon was one of the first movies to focus on the ninja craze and helped to popularize martial arts films in the 1980s. It was a box office success and cemented Chuck Norris’ status as a martial arts action star.
