The Occultist is a horror film directed by Novin Shakiba and released in 2009. The story follows a group of medical students who are taking their final exams at their prestigious university. During their exams, they are unknowingly targeted by their sinister professor, Dr. Szandor Kaminsky, and his cult of Satanists.
As the night goes on, the students are subjected to a series of macabre and disturbing rituals, including blood sacrifice and demonic possession. The students realize that they are in mortal danger and must find a way to fight back against their evil captors if they are to survive the night.
The two students who take the lead in the fight against Dr. Kaminsky and his followers are Mindy and Jordan. Mindy is a fiercely independent woman who refuses to be cowed by the cult's threats, while Jordan is a more timid and reserved character who nevertheless proves himself to be a resourceful ally.
The students find themselves caught up in a race against time, as the cultists attempt to summon a powerful demon to wreak havoc on the world. Mindy and Jordan must use all of their smarts and courage to stop the cult before it's too late. With twists and turns aplenty, The Occultist is a tense and chilling horror film that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
