The Nothing follows the journey of Clayton Thompson as he sets out to test his theory that the best art is born out of pain and suffering. He convinces his best friend and girlfriend to join him in this venture, and they film the entire process.
After being dropped off in the North Georgia Mountains, Clayton begins to document his experiences. He spends his days writing, and his nights are spent filming his lonely and isolated existence. As time passes, Clayton's mental state starts to decline, and he begins to see and hear things that are not there.
As his obsession with his work grows, Clayton's relationships with his friends and girlfriend start to deteriorate. He begins to unravel, and it becomes clear that he has been haunted by a presence in the mountains. But, is it real, or is it all in his mind?
The Nothing is a psychological thriller that explores the idea of the relationship between art and suffering. It shows the dark side of creativity and how it can consume an individual and push them to the brink of insanity.
