Zachary and Marilee are former high school sweethearts who have since moved on with their lives. However, when their mutual friend, a local animal shelter worker, asks for their help in finding homes for a litter of nine kittens, they can't resist the chance to spend time together again.
As they work together to care for the adorable kittens, old feelings begin to resurface. But with their busy lives and different career paths, they must decide if a second chance at love is worth pursuing.
Meanwhile, as they search for homes for the kittens, they encounter a variety of interesting characters, including a grumpy old man who develops an unlikely bond with one of the kittens and a young couple who realize that adopting a kitten is just what they need to bring joy to their lives.
As Christmas approaches, Zachary and Marilee must not only find homes for all nine kittens but also decide if their love for each other is worth fighting for.
