The Night of the Grizzly is a 1966 western film directed by Joseph Pevney and starring Clint Walker, Jack Elam, Martha Hyer, and Keenan Wynn. The film follows the story of Marshall "Big Jim" Cole (Clint Walker), who decides to leave his law enforcement career behind and move to Wyoming to settle on some land left to him by his late uncle.
Upon arriving at his new property with his wife Angela (Martha Hyer), daughter Gypsy (Victoria Paige Meyerink), and son Charlie (Kevin Brodie), Cole learns that a neighboring rancher, Jed Curry (Keenan Wynn), wants his land and is willing to use violent means to get it.
To make matters worse, a notorious grizzly bear nicknamed "Satan" is terrorizing the area and has already killed some of Cole's livestock. Despite warnings from local hunters and his own fears, Cole sets out to hunt the grizzly and protect his land and family from Curry's threats.
As the tension between Cole and Curry mounts, the grizzly continues to wreak havoc, leading to a final showdown between man and beast. The Night of the Grizzly offers a thrilling mix of western action and creature feature horror, anchored by Clint Walker's strong performance as the tough and determined hero.
