The Night Clerk is a thriller movie, directed by Michael Cristofer and was released in the United States in 2020. The movie stars Tye Sheridan as Bart Bromley, a hotel night clerk who has Asperger's Syndrome, a type of autism. Bart lives alone with his mother Ethel, who is seen struggling to cope with Bart's condition.

The movie opens with a woman named Karen being murdered in her hotel room. Bart, who has a habit of secretly recording the hotel guests, captures the footage of the murder on his surveillance camera. When the police arrive, Bart becomes the prime suspect in the murder case.

Detective Espada, played by John Leguizamo, starts investigating the case. He quickly finds out that Bart is on the Autism spectrum and becomes suspicious of him. Espada thinks that Bart is lying about his involvement in the murder and is hiding something.

Bart, who has always struggled with social interactions, becomes fixated on a beautiful guest named Andrea, played by Ana de Armas. He starts following her around the hotel and records her every move. He also strikes up an unusual friendship with her.

As Bart tries to figure out the identity of the real killer, he discovers some shocking secrets about Karen and her past. Meanwhile, Detective Espada is closing in on Bart, and Bart knows that he must find a way to prove his innocence before it's too late.
