Donald, played by Mark Ruffalo, is excited to move into his new home, but his excitement is quickly dampened when he meets his next-door neighbor, played by Zach Galifianakis. Donald's neighbor is messy, loud, and constantly asking to borrow things. To make matters worse, his neighbor's dog is constantly digging in Donald's garden and causing damage.
Donald initially tries to be polite and talk to his neighbor about the issues, but his neighbor doesn't take him seriously and brushes him off. This leads to a series of escalating pranks and retaliations between the two neighbors.
As the feud between the two neighbors intensifies, their actions start to gain a following. Soon, their neighbors start taking sides and the whole situation turns into a full-scale war. Crowds gather outside of their homes to watch the drama unfold and the media even starts covering the story.
As the war between the neighbors reaches its peak, Donald starts to realize that revenge isn't the answer and that he needs to find a way to make peace with his neighbor. He extends an olive branch and the two finally come to an understanding.
The New Neighbor is a hilarious and heartwarming comedy that shows the importance of communication and understanding in resolving conflicts. The chemistry between Ruffalo and Galifianakis is fantastic and the movie's many pranks and gags are sure to keep audiences laughing from beginning to end.
