The Mortuary Collection is a horror anthology film that follows a young girl named Sam (played by Caitlin Custer) who applies for a job at a mortuary run by an eccentric mortician named Montgomery Dark (played by Clancy Brown). After being hired, Sam is shown a secret room in the mortuary where Montgomery keeps various books and items that belonged to people whose deaths he orchestrated.
As Montgomery tells Sam his favorite stories, Sam slowly realizes that the mortician has a perverse fascination with death, and that many of the deaths he describes are not accidental or natural. Each story is interconnected and linked to a different room in the mortuary, with each room serving as a macabre symbol of the various stages of life and death.
The stories in The Mortuary Collection include a young woman who is visited by Death on the night of her wedding, a college student who must confront her darkest fears during a campus Halloween party, a babysitter who discovers that her young charge is not what she seems, and a loving husband who will stop at nothing to keep his dying wife alive.
As the stories progress, the tension mounts, and Sam begins to fear for her own safety as she learns that Montgomery may have a particular interest in her. The Mortuary Collection ultimately ends with a twist that will leave viewers gasping in shock.
