The Millennial follows the story of Marcus, a young African American man from a privileged background, who has just graduated with a master's degree in business from a prestigious university. He has big dreams of working in the finance industry, but soon discovers that breaking into the field is not going to be as easy as he had hoped.
Despite his impressive qualifications and academic achievements, Marcus finds that he is constantly being overlooked for job opportunities in favor of less qualified white candidates. Frustrated and disillusioned, he begins to question whether his hard work and education will ever be enough to overcome racial discrimination in the workplace.
As he navigates the challenges of the job market, Marcus also struggles to maintain his relationships with friends and family. His privileged background and Ivy League education set him apart from the rest of his community, and he finds it difficult to relate to those who don't share his experiences.
