In the movie, the reporter named Bob Wilton is initially skeptical of Lyn Cassady's claims. However, as they embark on a journey together in Iraq, Lyn starts to demonstrate his unusual abilities such as remote viewing, telekinesis, and mind control.
Lyn also reveals that the New Earth Army was created by Bill Django, a former Vietnam War veteran who believes that non-lethal combat could be achieved through psychic means. Django trained a group of soldiers in the art of psychic warfare and even wrote a manual called "The First Earth Battalion."
As Bob and Lyn continue their adventure, they face challenges from local insurgents and the CIA who want to prevent them from exposing the truth about the New Earth Army. They also encounter another former member of the unit named Larry Hooper, who has a different agenda and plans to use his powers for personal gain.
In the end, Bob learns a valuable lesson about the power of the mind and the potential for unconventional methods in achieving peace and conflict resolution.
