The Medallion is a 2003 action-comedy film directed by Gordon Chan and starring Jackie Chan. The story follows Hong Kong detective Eddie Yang (Jackie Chan), who is investigating a smuggling operation that involves a powerful, ancient medallion. When he is killed in a set-up accident, he is suddenly revived by the medallion's mystical powers and transformed into a supernatural warrior with superhuman abilities.

With the help of his new partner, Nicole (Claire Forlani), Eddie uncovers a sinister plot led by the evil Snakehead (Julian Sands) to obtain the medallion and use its powers to rule the world. Together, Eddie and Nicole must fight off Snakehead and his army of henchmen to save the world from destruction.

As Eddie adapts to his new abilities, he discovers that he is able to heal himself, move at incredible speeds, and even fly. However, his new powers also come with a price, as his mortality is replaced with immortality and he is forced to live forever, no matter the cost.

The Medallion was Jackie Chan's first English-language film to be made outside of the Hollywood studio system, and it was praised for its blend of humor, action, and special effects. Although it received mixed reviews, it was a box office success and has since become a cult classic for fans of martial arts movies and Jackie Chan's work.
