The Man with One Red Shoe is a 1985 American comedy film directed by Stan Dragoti and starring Tom Hanks, Lori Singer, Dabney Coleman and Jim Belushi. The story revolves around a hapless concert violinist named Richard Drew (Hanks) who is mistaken for a spy by the CIA after coincidentally wearing only one red shoe to the airport.
Two rival CIA agents, Cooper (Coleman) and Ross (Belushi), both vying for the same top position within the agency, decide to use Drew as a pawn in their power struggle. Cooper believes Drew is a high-level spy and begins to surveil him closely, while Ross thinks Cooper has gone mad and aims to prove that Drew is harmless.
Drew, who is oblivious to the espionage going on around him, becomes the focus of a complex and comical plot as the two agents try to outsmart each other to figure out if he is a spy or not. Along the way, Drew gets entangled in a romantic affair with a beautiful woman named Maddy (Singer), who is also involved in the CIA intrigue.
