The Makeover

Comedy  N/A

"The Makeover" is a modern retelling of George Bernard Shaw's classic play "Pygmalion." The story follows Hannah Higgins, a sophisticated and educated political consultant who is tasked with turning Elliot Doolittle, a rough and unrefined Boston beer vendor, into a presentable and electable candidate for political office. At first, Elliot is resistant to Hannah's efforts to "make him over" and transform him into a polished gentleman, but he eventually agrees to her proposition.

As Hannah works to refine Elliot's appearance, speech, and manners, she also begins to learn about his life and struggles living in a working-class neighborhood. Through their interactions, the two begin to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for each other's worlds.

As Elliot becomes a more viable candidate, Hannah finds herself increasingly drawn to him, leading to romantic tension between them. However, their different lifestyles and professional obligations may prevent them from pursuing a relationship.

Ultimately, "The Makeover" is a heartwarming and humorous story about two people from vastly different backgrounds who learn to appreciate and understand each other.
