Peter, a young orphan, has never given up hope of finding his missing sister, Adele, who was taken away from him years ago. One day, while wandering through the marketplace, he stumbles upon a fortune teller who reveals to him that his sister is still alive. However, in order to find her, Peter must locate a magical elephant and the magician who will conjure it.
Peter embarks on a quest to complete three impossible tasks that have been set before him by the fortune teller. The first task requires him to find a key that will unlock a chest containing a clue to the second task. The second task involves freeing a prisoner from a castle guarded by fierce dragons. And finally, the third task is to find the magical elephant, which is said to grant wishes to those who find it.
Through his journey, Peter meets a cast of unique characters, including a duchess, a policeman, a barber, and a beggar girl, who each play a vital role in helping him complete his tasks.
