The Magic Roundabout is a 2005 animated film based on the popular 1960s British television show of the same name. The film follows the adventures of a young dog named Dougal, who is obsessed with candy and is joined by his friends Brian the snail, Dylan the rabbit, Ermintrude the cow, and Zebedee the magical spring.
Their peaceful world is thrown into chaos when the evil ice sorcerer ZeeBad, who is Zebedee's twin brother, escapes from his frozen prison and seeks to turn the world into a perpetual winter. Doogal and his friends are tasked with recovering three magical diamonds, which are the only things that can stop ZeeBad's evil plan.
The group sets out on a dangerous journey across the land, encountering a variety of strange creatures along the way, including a wicked army of living toys and a giant spider. The journey brings the group closer together as they work to overcome their individual flaws and harness their unique strengths to defeat ZeeBad and save the world.
The Magic Roundabout features an all-star voice cast, including the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Whoopi Goldberg, Ian McKellen, and Jon Stewart. The film was generally well-received for its colorful animation, quirky characters, and imaginative world-building.
