The Lying Truth follows the story of up-and-coming rapper Jayceon "JC" Carter (played by Jaden Smith) and video vixen/model Kaya Johnson (played by Zendaya), who team up for a music video shoot. The chemistry between the two is immediate and they end up spending the night together.

However, the next morning, Kaya wakes up feeling violated and claims that JC used force to have sex with her. She accuses him of rape, igniting a media firestorm and threatening to derail JC's budding career.

JC maintains that the sex was consensual and that Kaya is lying. He believes that feminism has turned women into sex slaves who use their sexuality to manipulate men and gain power.

As the legal battle and public scrutiny intensify, both JC and Kaya's hidden motives and dark secrets are exposed, calling into question the validity of their respective claims. The film ultimately forces the audience to question who is telling the truth and whether either of them are worthy of sympathy.

In the end, the truth is revealed in a shocking twist that leaves both JC and Kaya reeling and the audience questioning everything they thought they knew. The Lying Truth is a thought-provoking and emotionally charged exploration of power, sexism, and the nature of truth in the age of Me Too.
