In the film, Rex Allerton is a charming and talented movie star who has grown tired of the constant attention from his adoring fans. He decides to escape to a remote village in Italy where he hopes to find peace and solitude.
However, as soon as he arrives, he is unwittingly entered into an international lottery by the local villagers. The prize? A date with the famous Rex Allerton.
Suddenly, Rex is bombarded with attention once again, but this time it's from women all over the world who have bought tickets for the lottery. Despite his initial reluctance, Rex ultimately agrees to go on the date.
What follows is a romantic adventure as Rex travels to exotic destinations with the winner of the lottery, a beautiful and free-spirited woman named Maria. Along the way, Rex begins to fall for Maria and the two share many romantic moments.
But as the lottery draws to a close, Rex must make a difficult choice: continue his glamorous Hollywood lifestyle or stay in Italy with the woman he loves.
