The Lost Wife of Robert Durst is a made-for-television biographical drama film that explores the real-life story of Kathie Durst, the first wife of wealthy businessman and suspected murderer Robert Durst.
The film begins in the 1970s, when Kathie (played by Katharine McPhee) first meets Robert Durst (played by Daniel Gillies), a charming and charismatic heir to a vast New York City real estate empire. Despite objections from her family, Kathie falls deeply in love with Robert and they eventually get married.
