The Lookalike is a crime drama film that follows two small-time crooks, Holt and The Weasel, who work as runners for a local drug lord named William Spinks. Holt and The Weasel are assigned to keep an eye on the drug lord's love interest, Sadie Hill, who is a drug addict and unreliable. However, when Sadie unexpectedly dies from an overdose, the two crooks are left with the task of finding a look-alike to replace her and fool William Spinks into thinking Sadie is still alive.
They eventually come across a young woman named Lacey, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Sadie. They convince her to take on the role of Sadie and pay her a large sum of money. However, as Lacey begins to settle into the role, she realizes that she has gotten herself into a dangerous situation.
Meanwhile, William Spinks becomes increasingly suspicious of the two crooks and launches an investigation into Sadie's supposed death. With the police on their tail and a drug lord hot on their heels, Holt and The Weasel must find a way to keep their scheme intact and stay alive.
The Lookalike features a star-studded cast, including Justin Long, John Corbett, Gina Gershon, and Luis Guzmán. Directed by Richard Gray, the film is a twisty and intense crime drama that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.
