Action,Adventure,Thriller  United Kingdom

James Bond (portrayed by Timothy Dalton) is assigned to aid the defection of a KGB General, Georgi Koskov (portrayed by Jeroen Krabbé), who wishes to leave the Soviet Union. Bond helps Koskov escape into the West, but soon finds out that there is more to the story than meets the eye. Koskov reveals that he is an ally of a wealthy arms dealer named Brad Whitaker (portrayed by Joe Don Baker) and that the arms dealer plans to use the funds from an opium trade to finance his arms deals.

As Bond continues his investigation, he starts to suspect that Koskov may have ulterior motives. Eventually, Koskov is kidnapped by his fellow KGB agents and Bond is assigned to investigate his disappearance. Bond soon discovers that Koskov was lying about his defection and that he is working with the KGB to deceive MI6.

Meanwhile, Bond meets a cellist named Kara Milovy (portrayed by Maryam d'Abo), who is also involved in the plot. Bond and Kara team up to uncover the truth behind Koskov's disappearance and his ultimate goals. Along the way, Bond faces dangerous missions, including a thrilling car chase in a snowy landscape.

The Living Daylights features several iconic scenes, including the opening sequence in which Bond parachutes onto a runaway jeep and the climactic confrontation between Bond and Whitaker at his Afghan fortress. Overall, the film is a captivating spy thriller that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats until the very end.
