Flynn Carsen, played by Noah Wyle, is once again called upon to use his expertise as a librarian and adventurer to retrieve an important artifact. The Crystal Skull was just the beginning, now Flynn is tasked with locating King Solomon's Mines, a fabled location filled with treasures beyond imagination.
However, it’s not going to be an easy task. Flynn receives a map in the mail with the secret location of King Solomon's Mines. But, the map is no good without the legend piece that can decipher it. Unfortunately, the legend piece is located in Volubilis, near the Roman ruins in Morocco.
When Flynn reaches Casablanca, he is immediately pursued by a group of mercenaries lead by General Samir, who is also in search of the treasure. Flynn teams up with Professor Emily Davenport, played by Gabrielle Anwar, and they escape from the mercenaries.
While traveling to Gedi, a small village in Africa, they save the life of a local Jomo, who in turn promises to help them traverse the treacherous wilderness. The trio faces numerous dangerous obstacles, from deadly snakes to treacherous terrain.
Along the way, Flynn and Emily discover that there is more to their quest than just the location of the treasure. The Key of Solomon’s book and its powerful magic could be unleashed by the wrong hands and the world as they know it may be destroyed.
The film is filled with action-packed adventure, Indiana Jones-style stunts, and exotic locations that are breathtakingly beautiful. The chemistry between Noah Wyle and Gabrielle Anwar is palpable, resulting in a believable on-screen romance.
The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines is a perfect family-friendly adventure film that will have both kids and adults captivated until the very end.
