The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special is a lighthearted and comedic addition to the Star Wars franchise. The story follows Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose, and BB-8 as they prepare for Life Day, a Wookiee holiday celebrated across the galaxy. In an effort to become a better Jedi, Rey travels to a mysterious Jedi Temple and discovers a device that sends her on a journey through time and space.
Throughout her travels, Rey meets various characters from the Star Wars universe, including Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Yoda. She also interacts with her younger self and various versions of herself from different points in time. Meanwhile, her friends back on their home planet of Kashyyyk try to continue their Life Day celebrations without her.
As Rey learns valuable lessons about the nature of the Force and the importance of connecting with loved ones, she also realizes that she must return to her friends to celebrate Life Day together. The film includes plenty of references and Easter eggs for die-hard Star Wars fans, while still remaining accessible for viewers of all ages.
