The movie The Legend of Zu is a Chinese martial arts fantasy film released in 2018. It is based on the novel Zu Mountain: New Legend by Xu Lei and is a sequel to the 2001 film Zu Warriors from the Magic Mountain.
The story is set in a world where demons and fairies coexist and battle each other for supremacy. The fairies, led by the Kunlun sect, have finally won a great battle against the demons, but their leader, Yu Qingzi, sacrificed his life for his apprentice Xiao He.
500 years later, Xiao He is living a peaceful life in a small village when he is suddenly attacked by a group of demons. He is shocked to learn that Yu Qingzi has been resurrected by the demons and is now leading them in a new war against the fairies.
