The Legend of Zorro is a 2005 adventure film starring Antonio Banderas as Alejandro de la Vega, the legendary masked hero Zorro. The film is a sequel to the 1998 film The Mask of Zorro and is set in 1850, ten years after the events of the first film.

The film begins with Alejandro calling off his duties as Zorro to focus on his family life with his wife, Elena, and their ten-year-old son, Joaquin. However, their marriage has been strained due to his constant absence and Elena's growing frustration at her husband's lack of commitment to their family.

Things take a turn when Elena files for divorce and starts seeing Count Armand, a deceitful French aristocrat who is conspiring with a group of Confederate rebels to steal California from the United States. Alejandro is torn between his feelings for Elena and his duty as Zorro to fight against the rebels and save his country.

With the help of his old mentor, Don Diego de la Vega (played by Anthony Hopkins), Zorro sets out to stop the rebels from carrying out their plan, while also trying to win back Elena's love and keep their family together. Along the way, there are thrilling sword fights, daring rescues, and unexpected twists that keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Despite mixed reviews from critics, The Legend of Zorro was a box office success and remains a popular adventure film among fans of the genre.
