The Legend of the Stardust Brothers follows the rise and fall of two aspiring musicians, Kan and Shingo, who form a pop duo called The Stardust Brothers. The duo is discovered by a sleazy record executive named Minami, who takes them under his wing and transforms them into Japan's biggest pop stars. However, as their fame grows, so does their rivalry and jealousy towards each other, which eventually leads to The Stardust Brothers breaking up.
Years later, Kan and Shingo are approached by a mysterious woman named Mimi, who claims to be a fan and invites them to her mansion for a reunion and a chance to revive their careers. But as they soon discover, Mimi has ulterior motives and plans for them that are much darker than they could ever have imagined.
The Legend of the Stardust Brothers is a satirical and surreal take on the Japanese music industry, with elements of sci-fi and fantasy woven into the story. The film features vibrant and flamboyant visuals, catchy pop songs, and an all-star cast of musicians and actors, including Kiyohiko Ozaki, Tadanobu Asano, and Yusaku Matsuda.
