The Last Thing Mary Saw is a period horror film set in rural New York in 1843. It follows Mary, a sheltered young woman, who is raised in a strict religious household and lives with her grandmother, who is the matriarch of the family. One day, Mary is summoned to her grandmother's room, where she is asked to sign a will leaving her inheritance to Mary's cousin, Catherine, rather than her own children. Shortly after this, the grandmother dies under mysterious circumstances, and the family begins to unravel.

As the investigation into the grandmother's death begins, suspicion falls on Mary. She is interrogated by a local doctor and a police officer, who are determined to get to the truth of what happened. Mary, however, is reluctant to reveal what she knows, as she has had a series of strange visions and experiences which have terrified her.

As the days pass, Mary's memories of the events leading up to her grandmother's death start to emerge. They reveal a dark and twisted family dynamic, where secrets and lies have been kept for generations. Mary's visions also expose an ageless evil at work, which has been manipulating the family for its own nefarious purposes.

The Last Thing Mary Saw is a tense and atmospheric horror film, steeped in the traditions of gothic literature. It explores themes of family trauma, religious extremism, and the enduring power of the supernatural. The film is directed by Edoardo Vitaletti and stars Isabelle Fuhrman, Rory Culkin, and Judith Roberts.
