Comedy  South Korea

The Last Ride is a 2015 South Korean drama film directed by Nam Dae-joong. The main character, Go-hwan, is a young man who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease and given only a short period to live. He had never been in a romantic relationship before and, as he grapples with the idea of his own death, he feels acutely aware that he may never experience the physical intimacy that others take for granted.

His best friends, Ho-jin and Yeon-soo, are caught off guard by Go-hwan's request, but they ultimately agree to help him fulfill his ultimate wish. They set out on a road trip across the country in search of a willing partner for Go-hwan, a journey that forces them to confront their own feelings about Go-hwan's impending death and their own lives.

Throughout the trip, the three friends face a range of challenges and obstacles, including resistance from Go-hwan's family, the judgment of strangers, and their own doubts and fears. However, despite these difficulties, they remain determined to see their mission through to the end.

The Last Ride approaches its sensitive subject matter with a mix of humor and pathos, offering a touching tribute to friendship and the power of human connection in the face of adversity.
