As the three remaining banned cops - Frank Daly, Wayne Gross, and Ricky Rodriguez - continue their undercover investigation, they discover that Boyd is not only the kingpin of the drug ring, but also has ties to corrupt high-ranking officials within the L.A.P.D.
Their investigation leads them to a major drug bust, where they uncover a large shipment of drugs being smuggled into the country. However, they are ambushed by Boyd's men and are forced to fight their way out, leading to a shootout that leaves Wayne critically injured.
With Wayne in the hospital, Frank and Ricky are left to finish the mission on their own. They track Boyd to a remote warehouse, where a final showdown takes place. Despite facing overwhelming odds, Frank and Ricky manage to take down Boyd and his men, bringing an end to the drug ring once and for all.
In the aftermath, the banned cops are hailed as heroes for their bravery and dedication to justice. Despite their tarnished reputation, they are reinstated to the L.A.P.D. and hailed as the last of the finest.
