The Last Kingdom is a television series based on the historical novel series, The Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell. The series follows the story of Uhtred of Bebbanburg, a Saxon nobleman who is raised by Vikings after they kill his father. He becomes torn between his loyalties to the Christian Saxons and the pagan Vikings.
In the latest season, after the death of King Edward, Uhtred and his allies embark on a mission to unite the fractured kingdoms of England. They face challenges from powerful warlords, fierce battles, and betrayal from within their own ranks.
