The Last Horror Film is a 1982 slasher film directed by David Winters. The movie follows a mentally unstable New York taxi driver named Vinny Durand (played by Joe Spinell) as he stalks a beautiful actress named Jana Bates (played by Caroline Munro) attending the Cannes Film Festival, hoping to convince her to star in his own horror movie.

Vinny relentlessly pursues Jana, even going as far as sneaking into her hotel room and following her to various events. However, as Vinny's obsession intensifies, a series of violent murders occur around Jana and her friends at the festival. It becomes apparent that someone is targeting those close to Jana, and suspicion falls on Vinny as a possible suspect.

Throughout the movie, the audience is left to wonder if Vinny is the culprit behind the killings or if it is just a coincidence that they coincide with his stalking of Jana. As tensions rise and the body count increases, the suspense builds towards a shocking finale.

The Last Horror Film is known for its unique premise and the unsettling performance by Joe Spinell. The film was not a commercial success upon its release but has gained a cult following over the years, particularly for its portrayal of the Cannes Film Festival and the horror genre.
