The Last Adventure is a French adventure-comedy film released in 1967, directed by Robert Enrico and starring Alain Delon and Lino Ventura. The film begins with two friends, Roland and Manu, flying over the African wilderness in a small plane. Manu is the pilot, and Roland is his passenger. Suddenly, their plane experiences a terrifying malfunction, and Manu is forced to make an emergency landing.

While they await their rescue, Roland and Manu meet two strangers who are camping nearby. The strangers, Riton and Léna, seem friendly enough, but they have a hidden agenda. Riton and Léna reveal to Roland and Manu that they were the ones who caused the malfunction in their plane, and that it was all a practical joke.

Feeling guilty, Riton and Léna tell Roland and Manu about a crashed plane at the bottom of the ocean off the coast of Congo. The plane was carrying millions of dollars in gold, and they offer to split the treasure with Roland and Manu if they help them locate it.

Roland and Manu are skeptical but intrigued, and they decide to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. They set out on a perilous journey through the African wilderness, encountering all sorts of wild animals and dangerous terrain.

Eventually, they reach the coast, where they build a makeshift submarine out of an old gasoline tank and some spare parts. They dive to the bottom of the ocean and find the crashed plane, but the treasure they seek is guarded by a fearsome shark.

With cunning and bravery, Roland and Manu manage to outsmart the shark and retrieve the treasure. However, their troubles are far from over. Riton and Léna turn out to be treacherous and double-cross Roland and Manu, leading to a thrilling final showdown on the high seas.

The Last Adventure is a rollicking adventure with plenty of action, humor, and heart. Delon and Ventura deliver charismatic performances as the daring heroes, and the film's exotic locations and stunning underwater sequences are truly mesmerizing.
