The Knot

Romance,Comedy  United Kingdom

The Knot is a British romantic comedy released in 2012, directed by Jesse Lawrence and starring Mena Suvari and Matthew McNulty.

The movie revolves around Alexandra and Jeremy, who have been together for three years and are about to get married. They only have a day to get everything organized and finalized, but everything seems to go wrong. The couple endures a disastrous rehearsal dinner, and a photographer loses all their pre-wedding photos accidentally. Their venue was given away to another couple, and Alexandra's wedding dress gets torn, and they have to get it fixed frantically. A key member of the wedding party is left stranded in Amsterdam, and things turn more chaotic for the couple as they try to handle everything gracefully.

On their wedding day, they both get injured and rushed to separate hospitals. By the time they are released, their wedding is in a disarray with some guests gone, their band left, and the wedding cake flopping down like a badly made soufflé.

But the couple will not give up easily. They are determined to make it work and prove that the mishaps do not matter as long as they love each other. They gather those remaining and decide to hold the reception on a boat that takes them around London. There, they have their first dance as man and wife, surrounded by the people that matter, and with the city of London as their backdrop.

The Knot is a lighthearted film that shows how love can conquer all, even when things seem to be falling apart.
