Experiment of the Forgotten: Reawakening Secrets

Drama,Thriller  United States of America

The Killing Room is a psychological thriller movie that was released in 2009. The movie is about four volunteers who sign up for a paid research study that promises to investigate human behavior under extreme circumstances. The volunteers are a diverse group that includes a college graduate (Lee), a single mother (Kerry), a young man (Paul), and an unemployed man (Tony).

The four volunteers are taken to a nondescript government facility and led into a room where they are told they will be observed through a two-way mirror while being asked a series of questions. The questions, however, become increasingly personal, and the situation escalates into a high-pressure experiment as the volunteers are pitted against each other.

The four volunteers are then informed that they are actually part of a classified government program called "The Killing Room," which was said to have been terminated nearly two decades ago. The program aimed to investigate the efficacy of violent interrogation techniques and was designed to simulate the psychological pressures of an interrogation on civilians.

The four volunteers are then given a choice: leave the program and never speak of it again or continue on and earn a large sum of money. As the experiment continues, the volunteers' mental states rapidly deteriorate, and they become increasingly desperate to escape. The tension builds to a startling conclusion that is as horrifying as it is unexpected.

The Killing Room is a tense and disturbing movie that explores the dark side of human behavior and the lengths people will go to in order to survive. The performances of the four lead actors are superb, and the direction of the movie is excellent, creating a sense of claustrophobia and paranoia that makes for an unforgettable viewing experience.
