The Informer follows former soldier Pete Koslow, who was caught smuggling drugs into the US for the Polish mafia. On the verge of freedom, he is coerced by his FBI handlers to go undercover in a maximum-security prison to establish contact with the man responsible for protecting the interests of the Polish mob in prison. This decision puts him and his family in grave danger, as they are placed under witness protection, while Pete has to navigate through a world of violence, corruption, and drugs. As he tries to complete his mission and get his life back, Pete realizes that the stakes are higher than he thought, and he will have to make a life-changing decision to survive.
