The Inbetweeners 2 follows the four friends as they arrive in Australia and immediately find themselves lost and disoriented in a foreign land. They set out on a road trip to find Jay, who is supposedly living the high life in Sydney, but soon discover that he is actually working in a low-end water park.
Despite this setback, the boys remain determined to have the time of their lives and explore Australia's legendary party scene. Along the way, they encounter a variety of colorful characters, including a hippie couple living in a commune and a group of backpackers who take them under their wing.
As the trip progresses, tensions begin to arise between the friends. Will becomes increasingly frustrated with the lads' juvenile behavior and their lack of interest in anything other than drinking and chasing girls. Meanwhile, Simon struggles with his feelings for his ex-girlfriend, Carly, and the group's dynamic is further complicated by their encounters with a beautiful but mysterious girl named Katie.
