The Iguana with the Tongue of Fire is a 1971 Italian giallo film directed by Riccardo Freda and starring Luigi Pistilli, Dagmar Lassander, and Anton Diffring. The film takes place in Dublin, where a series of brutal murders occur, with each victim being slashed with a razor and having acid poured on their face.

The first victim is discovered in the trunk of the Swiss Ambassador's car. The Ambassador and his staff immediately become suspects, but due to their diplomatic immunity, they cannot be interrogated by the local police. Frustrated by this, the police captain brings in John Norton, an ex-Inspector known for his violent and unorthodox methods, to carry out an unofficial investigation.

Norton soon finds himself drawn to the Ambassador's beautiful daughter, who seems to have an unusual fascination with the murders. As Norton delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deception and betrayal that leads him to suspect everyone around him. The killer, whose face is never revealed, continues to strike, leaving Norton racing against time to catch the culprit before it's too late.

The film features the classic giallo tropes of twisted plot twists, gruesome murders, and sexual intrigue, all set against a backdrop of stylish '70s fashion and architecture. Although not as well-known as other giallo films of the era, The Iguana with the Tongue of Fire remains a cult classic among fans of the genre.
