The Hunting Party is a 2007 American satirical action-comedy film directed by Richard Shepard, starring Richard Gere, Terrence Howard, and Jesse Eisenberg. The film is based on a 2000 Esquire article by journalist Scott Anderson entitled "What I Did on My Summer Vacation", which chronicled his experiences tracking down war criminal Radovan Karadžić.

The film follows the story of a journalist named Simon Hunt (Richard Gere) who, after being fired from his job covering wars abroad, sets out to find and apprehend the Bosnian war criminal known as "The Fox". Hunt enlists the help of a former cameraman named Duck (Terrence Howard) and a young journalist named Benjamin (Jesse Eisenberg) to help him in his quest.

The three men travel to Bosnia, where they encounter a variety of obstacles and challenges in their pursuit of The Fox, including corrupt officials, dangerous militias, and mistaken identity. Along the way, the trio is mistaken for a CIA hit squad, adding an additional layer of tension and danger to their already perilous mission.

As they get closer to their goal, however, they begin to question their motives and their methods, and the lines between right and wrong become increasingly blurry. The film is a darkly comic exploration of the complexities of war, journalism, and justice, and features standout performances from its talented cast.
