As the affair between Eun-yi and Hoon heats up, tensions begin to rise in the household. Eun-yi becomes pregnant with Hoon's child, causing Hae-ra to become increasingly suspicious of her. Meanwhile, Hoon's mother, who lives in the house, disapproves of the relationship and warns Eun-yi to end it.
Things come to a head when Hae-ra discovers the affair and confronts Eun-yi. In a violent outburst, Hae-ra attacks Eun-yi and causes her to miscarry. Hoon's mother uses this as an opportunity to frame Eun-yi for theft, leading to her imprisonment.
Despite her incarceration, Hoon continues to visit Eun-yi in jail and even gifts her a piano, showing his continued affection for her. However, things take a turn for the worse when Hae-ra and Hoon's mother conspire to have Eun-yi permanently silenced.
The Housemaid is a dark and twisted tale of forbidden love and jealousy, with stunning performances from the cast. The film explores themes of class, power, sexuality, and revenge, making it a thought-provoking and intense cinematic experience.
