Samantha is a struggling college student looking for a way to pay her rent. She finds a babysitting job advertised on campus and eagerly accepts. The job is supposed to be for an elderly couple, however, when she arrives at the creepy, isolated mansion, she discovers that the couple she was supposed to babysit for have actually left for the night. Instead, she is greeted by Mr. Ulman, a middle-aged man who explains he's the father of the boy she's supposed to watch.
As the night progresses, strange occurrences begin to happen around the house. Samantha begins to feel uneasy and is convinced that something isn't right. When she investigates, she discovers that the Ulmans are not who they seem and that they are planning to use her for a Satanic ritual during the lunar eclipse.
Samantha attempts to leave but finds herself locked in the house. She must fight to survive the night and escape the clutches of the devil worshippers before it's too late. The House of the Devil is a throwback to classic horror movies from the 1980s, complete with a slow build-up, intense atmosphere, and a shocking climax.
