The Homesman is a 2014 Western drama film directed by Tommy Lee Jones and based on the novel of the same name by Glendon Swarthout. The film stars Jones as George Briggs and Hilary Swank as Mary Bee Cuddy.
The film is set in the mid-1800s on the American frontier, where three women living in a remote settlement have gone mad due to the harsh and isolating conditions of pioneer life.
