The Hidden is a 1987 science fiction thriller directed by Jack Sholder. The film opens with a violent robbery and shootout at a Los Angeles bank, during which the criminals appear to display unnatural strength and resilience. As Detective Beck investigates the crime, he discovers that the robbers are possessed by an alien creature that uses human hosts to carry out its violent agenda.
Meanwhile, young FBI agent Gallagher arrives in town, with orders to track down the alien and neutralize it. Beck initially resents Gallagher's involvement, but the two men eventually team up to hunt the creature down as it jumps from host to host, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
