The Hatred follows the story of four college students, Alice, Sam, Grace, and Lenny, who venture to their professor's remote country home for a weekend retreat. However, upon arrival, strange things begin to happen, and the group's peaceful getaway turns into a terrifying nightmare.
Alice, played by Sarah Davenport, is haunted by nightmares of a young girl who once lived in the house. Meanwhile, Sam, played by Bayley Corman, discovers an old diary that reveals the dark history of the property. The diary recounts how a family was murdered in the house, and their spirits still roam the halls seeking revenge.
As the girls struggle to survive the supernatural occurrences, Lenny, played by Alisha Wainwright, reaches out to her boyfriend, who agrees to come to their rescue. However, it soon becomes clear that their fate may already be sealed, and the spirits will not rest until they have claimed their next victims.
