The Greek Tycoon is a 1978 romantic drama film directed by J. Lee Thompson, starring Anthony Quinn and Jacqueline Bisset. The film was loosely based on the real-life romantic relationship between Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis and Jacqueline Kennedy, the widow of U.S. president John F. Kennedy.

In the film, Quinn plays Theo Tomasis, a wealthy and charismatic Greek shipping tycoon who falls in love with Liz Cassidy (Bisset), the beautiful widow of a popular U.S. president who was assassinated. Despite Liz's initial reservations and the disapproval of her family and friends, she is drawn to Theo's charm and wealth, and the two begin a passionate love affair.

However, their relationship is complicated by Theo's complicated personal life, including his ex-wife Simone (played by Francoise Brion) and his estranged son Nico (played by Edward Meeks), as well as the behind-the-scenes political maneuvering by Liz's advisor, James (played by James Franciscus).

As Theo and Liz's romance deepens and their public appearances together draw more attention, they must navigate the challenges of fame, scandal, and the delicate balance of their personal and professional lives.

The Greek Tycoon received mixed reviews from critics but was a commercial success, grossing over $20 million at the box office. The film is remembered for its lush Mediterranean locations, glamorous costumes, and steamy love scenes between Quinn and Bisset, as well as its romanticized portrayal of the relationship between Onassis and Kennedy.
