Mikey and his friends live in a neighborhood called the "Goon Docks" which is set to be demolished to make way for a country club. Mikey's father works at a local factory which is on the verge of closing down due to financial troubles. In order to save their homes, Mikey and his friends embark on an adventure to find a hidden treasure. The treasure map belonged to One-Eyed Willie, a famous pirate who sailed the seas long ago.
The group sets off on their adventure, facing many obstacles along the way. They encounter a devious family called the Fratellis who are also searching for the treasure. The Fratellis are wanted criminals who have recently escaped from prison and will stop at nothing to find the treasure for themselves.
Mikey and his friends manage to outsmart the Fratellis and find the treasure hidden in a cavern beneath the Goon Docks. The treasure helps save their neighborhood from being demolished, and the kids become local heroes for their bravery.
The Goonies is a classic 1980s adventure film directed by Richard Donner. It stars Sean Astin as Mikey, Josh Brolin as older brother Brand, Corey Feldman as Mouth, Jeff Cohen as Chunk, and Ke Huy Quan as Data. The movie has a cult following and is considered one of the most beloved films of the 80s.
