The Golden Touch is a 1935 movie based on the Greek myth of King Midas. In the movie, King Midas is a wealthy and vain ruler who is obsessed with gold. When an elf appears and turns his cat to gold, Midas is amazed and begs for the power to turn everything he touches into gold.
Initially thrilled with his newfound ability, Midas turns everything he can get his hands on into gold - from flowers and statues to furniture and food. However, as time passes, he begins to feel lonely and isolated, as he can no longer touch his loved ones without turning them into gold. He also realizes that he cannot eat or drink without turning everything into gold, which leads him to the brink of starvation.
Desperate to be rid of the curse, Midas summons the elf and begs him to remove the golden touch. The elf warns him that he will have to give up all his wealth and possessions to break the curse, but Midas agrees. In the end, the curse is lifted, but Midas learns a valuable lesson about the true value of wealth and the importance of love and human connection.
The Golden Touch was directed by Walt Disney and features some of the studio's most famous characters, including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. It is widely regarded as a classic of early animated cinema, and is still enjoyed by audiences of all ages today.
